Totally beat.....

I can't believe it has only been a week.   1 week....not even a full 7 day week....5 days with children, and I am beat.  Whipped.  Exhausted.  Totally exhausted.

I was so tired Friday night, I went to bed at (wait for it.....) 8:00 pm.    Yes, it was still daylight when I climbed into bed.   I had good intentions.  I was planning on watching the Olympics. Really, I was.   But sleep was way more important.       With all the good sleep I got Friday night, I was able to stay up much later Saturday night....all the way to 8:30 pm.  THIS Mrs. Davis is a party animal.

I am not sure what it is, but the beginning of the school year is always so hard.    Maybe it is the whole "getting into the routine" that makes me tired.    Who knows???  But I can't get enough sleep.

Now, I am old.   I mean, I am in my 30s....so I must be old, right?      You can't possibly be as tired as I am because you are much younger.     Right?????     But I know you are.  I can tell by your tired eyes when you walk into my room at 7:40 am.   I can tell by the way you sit and look at me and yawn when I ask you a question.    Yep, I see all.

Sleep is so important.  You will perform so much better in all sorts of things if you get enough sleep.    You will be more alert, better able to concentrate, perform better on tests....all sorts of things.   Aim for 8-9 hours a night for several nights in a row and you should notice a big difference.   Being tired is your body's way of letting you know it needs rest.   Rest it.    Sleep....it does a body good.

Now.....I am off to bed.....at 8:12 pm.....
